The Boiler House Jazz Series returns for 2020 Fridays ONLINE, streaming via YouTube from the Main Gallery of the Charles River Museum.

Singer, saxophonist, flutist, actor, Stan Strickland has performed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, New Zealand and the Caribbean. He has performed with the Boston Pops, the Village People, Aretha Franklin, and  jazz greats Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders, Herbie Mann, and opened for Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, and The Bare Naked Ladies. Stan is an associate professor of voice at Berklee College of Music and executive co-director of Express Yourself, a multi-cultural arts organization that serves mentally ill youth through the Department of Mental Health. His one-man show Coming Up For Air, An Auto-Jazzography received the prestigious Eliot Norton Award in theatre for best solo performance. 

Bruno Råberg is an internationally renowned bass player and composer. Since coming to the US from his native Sweden in 1981, he has made 11 recordings as a leader, about 30 as a sideman, and has performed with numerous world-class artists. Some of the distinguished musicians Råberg has performed/recorded with include Sam Rivers, Chris Cheek, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Kenny Werner, Billy Pierce, Donny McCaslin, Adam Cruz, Bob Moses, Mick Goodrick, Ben Monder, Bruce Barth, Jim Black, Matt Wilson, Ted Poor, Bob Mintzer, and Mike Mainieri. Tours have taken Råberg throughout Europe, Scandinavia, USA, Japan, India, Africa, and Central America, and to jazz festivals such as Pori, Umbria, Monterey, Nancy, Bologna, Graz, Stockholm, Boston, and Cape Town. Råberg is currently leading several constellations of his own Bruno Råberg Trio and the Triloka Ensemble.
