The performance begins at 7:30; doors open 30 minutes prior.

This bass/piano duo will present an evening of freely improvised music inspired by the unique acoustics of the CRMII boiler room.

Kit Demos performs & records on modular synthesizer and bass for various new jazz projects throughout New England. He is a member of the Blue Note Big Band, Lars Vegas, and The Jazz Committee, but often performs with more experimental groups in Boston's free jazz scene such as Charlie Kohlhase's Explorer's Club, The David Haas Group, Modern Sounds/Jeff Platz Group, and the PEK Orchestra.

A rocket scientist by day, Pat Battstone began performing music professionally at the age of 14, playing in various rock, blues, and R&B bands in southwestern Ohio. By the time he was 18, he had received lessons from Stan Kenton and Gary Burton, had been mentored by Oscar Treadwell, and had played with James Brown’s recording sidemen as well as musicians from the musical “Hair”. After attending Berklee College of Music, he was a student of legendary teachers Mme Chaloff and Charlie Banacos, and he subsequently studied with NEA Jazz Master Joanne Brackeen for 6 years.
